“Alvesta” finished as summer draws closer…
Jun 2011 06

Rapidly approaching the last week in Skurup – have been involved in three of the six first year exam films (as screenwriter, DP and director) and it’s been loads of work the last couple of weeks to get everything done and on time. The film I’m directing, Alvesta, has been in post-production for the last couple of weeks and it was just finished two days ago. It’s currently getting ready for its premiere at school tomorrow, which will be exciting (mostly to see what everyone else have worked on and what became of the other films I were involved in). After subtitles have been added, the online premiere should follow in about a week.

Also I’ve been working on the first 48-hour video marathon I’ve been involved in, titled “Ett skott från höften”. We’re all grouped up into small teams of five people and get just two days (eight hours on every day) to conceptulize, shoot and edit our film. So it’s really a 16-hour video marathon. So far it’s been going great, and as we’re currently starting on our second day (editing day) we’re finishing up on logging loads of video material and sound. Was sound engineer on the shoot, so it’s been a bit busy trying to get some good material whilst learning all the ropes within this new area of work.

Also got a temp job for pretty much the entire summer and autumn on a feature film which is set to go into production shortly – feels good to have it all planned out for the summer – or well, basically.

Completed work on the Harry Spexter DVD, which marks the end of a three-year producing period for the spex committee at S:t Petri High School. It’s been a fun ride, but I really feel I’m happy with ending it after three years and handing over the directing to a new crew. Currently in negotiations about producing next year’s spex film (assisting with equipment, editing stations etc.) but we’ll see. I’m pretty sure Redhawk Productions will be involved in some way or another, but it’s way to early to say.

Also soon starting the pre-production of our latest short film to be shot during early July – the casting process will begin shortly, and we locked the script just a few days ago.

So back to work here – take care everyone and keep tuned!
