“The Train Movie” + Grandstand Rugby
May 2011 09

Hey everyone! I’m back with a new commercial shot for  a local rugby team about a month ago, as a trailer for their upcoming tournament. We shot the whole thing on a RED M-X camera running at 120fps, so the entire thing is pretty much in silky smooth slow-motion. Check it out right here:

As the first year of film school moves closer to an end, we’re starting production on our exam films for the first year, a bunch of ten-minute shorts. The class has been divided up to shoot their own films while helping out on other films. In total six films are being produced during the next two weeks, and today we officially went into production of Alvesta, which I’m directing! The whole film is set on board a train – which was pretty hard to get hold of – we finally settled on an old WWII passenger train, which has been laid off and is now mostly used as a hostel. We managed to get complete access to the entire train for three days, so from today til Wednesday we’ll be shooting our ten-page screenplay, which has been written by another classmate, who, coincidentally, I wrote a script for.

So after a full shooting day I’m honestly quite tired and will be getting some sleep now, but as we have my good friend Amanda on set to take behind-the-scenes pictures, I’ll have something for you very soon hopefully.

Take care everyone, speak soon again!
