First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
Here’s my first blog post from Cambodia! The last few weeks have been busy, with the Harry Spexter premiere marking the end of film stuff I’m working on during 2010. The premiere went absolutely great and loads of people seemed to enjoy the film. What lies ahead as we move into the next year is at first work on the Harry Spexter DVD, and then moving on to the comprehensive Blu-Ray (and possibly also DVD) boxset I’ll be making featuring all the three spex films I’ve made. Having some pretty big plans for that, besides of course being able to show all the films in Full HD with commentary tracks, deleted scenes and several other stuff. It’ll be a big project – aiming to get it released late March of next year at the latest, if everything goes to plan (it almost never does ^^).
After that I’ll be working on getting the film released here on the website – we might actually be aiming for an earlier release, all depending on how quickly we can get the DVD out and still be happy about it.
But why am I in Cambodia, you might ask? Well, me and my family have been spending the last week throughout southeast Asia, beginning our journey in Bangkok, continuing to Hua Hin (still in Thailand) and now, recently, we’ve arrived in Phnom Penh where we’re continuing our three-week vacation. It’s been really fun and interesting so far, and a good break from what’s been a fairly busy year.
I can’t believe 2010′s almost over – it’s been an eventful year, that’s for sure. Loads of projects, starting at film school, writing essays along with my girlfriend, working as 1st AD on Short Film #21, Martin Wikner’s “Fatale” and some music videos are just some of the examples of stuff I’ve been doing (besides watching loads of films, playing loads of video games, relaxing with friends and being awesome). If this is an early sign of what lies ahead next year, we’re in for a fun and busy year.
I almost forgot! The new website also launched just a few months ago, and while there’s still quite a bit left to do before everything works silky smoothly, it felt good to be able to finally show it to you guys. As we’re moving forward in 2011 we’ll be adding a proper photography section, more social network connectivity (hint: you’ll be able to log-in here with your Facebook account and comment on films as well as get some exclusive material) and last but not least, adding some NEW CREW MEMBERS! Yes indeed.
I’ve been thinking about doing some sort of video blog for my next project, or at least some sort of small weekly video-based update, and integrating it into the front page of the website. I’ll have to talk to major web guru Johannes about this although before I promise anything.
The end of the year and the start of a new one also signifies that I should probably post my top 20 films of 2010 here (yes, 20). While it’s under construction and will be up soon, I must say it’ll be difficult to have up before mid-January, as I’ve missed some films during November and December due to having just too much darn work to do. But it will be epic. Video-based? Maybe. Hopefully.
So, Christmas presents. Yes, yes, I know I’m late to the party, but hopefully you’ll like them anyway
Included below are two clips from “Harry Spexter” and a horror film called “Repet” (or “The Rope”) which I’ve worked on during my first term at Skurups Folkhögskola!
Hope you enjoy it, and let me know what you think. Oh, and yes. Harry Spexter involves quite a big bunch of effects, personally I think it’s my best film so far. But enough chit-chat!

Can’t wait to show you all Harry Spexter and all other stuff which lies ahead. 2011 will be awesome.
Take care everyone!
