Finished my screenplay for my next and first swedish drama film Exposed just a few days ago – it’s called Exponerad in Swedish, which is just a Swedish translation of the film’s title and the film’s “real” title. It’s been a while, with nearly 4 months of writing! Was quite happy how it turned out, and at 45 pages it’s by far the longest work I’ve done to date, and the final film will probably be close to 50 minutes. What lies ahead? Well, next up is a bit of fine-tuning the script, and hopefully the final shooting screenplay will be done in about two weeks. Starting with casting the upcoming weekend – already have a few ideas for who I want cast. No names to say yet, will have to make sure they’re actually interested first.

But anyway, it’s a pretty big step for my next original film! Planning as it stands right now is to start shooting the film late June to mid-July, and then be able to release it sometime this autumn.

The interview at Kulturama last week went pretty great, I think. Will still have to consider which school I’ll choose if I get accepted to any of them – I’m leaning partly towards Skurups Folkhögskola right now due to most of my friends and all of my film industry contacts being in Skåne. But time will tell.

After a fun but pretty hectic weekend I’m currently sitting on the (quite long) train ride to Stockholm. Having an admission interview at Kulturama Tuesday morning so had to go up today – will probably be fun though, staying at Johannes’ place and going out to see Iron Man 2 later this evening.

Was actually at another admission test day at Skurup’s Film School last Monday which was a fun experience, even if I was pretty tired from last Sunday’s 16-hour shoot (which was all streamed live, and yes, the archived version will be up soon ).

Feels good though – I really liked how Skurup’s film school was built – it wasn’t really a big school, but it felt very focused, while having a relaxed attitude towards filmmaking. But won’t choose any favorites, as it probably isn’t good to lean too heavy on a certain school before results get back. Been spending the last week working with loads of school stuff, but finished a pretty big and quite straining essay yesterday about censorship and the outsourcing of filmmaking to Ystad, Göteborg etc. – instead of it just being in Stockholm. Was quite pleased with how it turned out, but it’s always diffciult to know what our teachers will think when writing such a subjective essay.

Shot a concert this Saturday at Göteborgs Nation in Lund. The band was great and played some classic covers, and I also met a bunch of new friends and contacts for future projects. Had time to transfer one of the six tapes (multi-camera shoot) this morning so might play around a bit with the editing on that when on the train – still about 3 hours left before I arrive in Stockholm! Also, should continue with the Exposed script!
