I’m currently working on Martin Wikner’s werewolf movie, and we’ll be streaming live from the set all day long so you can check out how the shoot progresses (or collapses
). It’s obviously in Swedish! Submit questions and send feedback live as we shoot the film!
The live stream and the shooting day is completed! Thanks everyone for watching and commenting, this is surely something which will be done again – stay tuned for links to the entire shoot day, in a few days. Althogh honestly you’d be quite crazy to watch all 13 hours of it.
Hey everyone, sorry for the slight delay in updating the website! Fotomässan 2010 was pretty awesome and I had a great time in Göteborg. Purchased the Wacom Intuos 4 Wireless tablet which I’ve been using since. It’s pretty fantastic, and of great use to me when dealing with VFX and photo editing.
Exposed
Pre-production on Exposed is really underway now! The script is almost 75% done, as I’m writing pretty much every day. Hoping to finish a first draft of it by the end of this week. I’ve basically rewritten the entire story – it’s much more personal and not that bombastic, making it actually filmable on a short budget. Can’t wait to tell you more about it, hoping to host a casting session sometime in about two weeks. The film will obviously not be shot in April or probably May (more details on why that is in a second) but during June. Besides reasons mentioned a bit later in this news post, this should also work well with people’s summer breaks, as well as make it a much more soothing experience now that more time should be available.
Werewolf Movie (directed by Martin Wikner)
But that’s far from everything. I’m working on loads of different projects right now, some I can tell you about and some I will be able to talk more about soon, as I’ve signed a few NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements). But first off, this weekend I’ll be acting as VFX supervisor on Martin Wikner‘s latest werewolf film. Martin is actually in my film theory class in Lund, and we’ve talked for a while about helping each other on our respective film projects. What we’re shooting this weekend is exterior scenes against greenscreen. We shot the plates a few weeks ago and have been working to make everything worked together in what will probably be a quite stylized movie. Can’t wait to be on set for that though, it’s a challenging project but based on a few tests, we both think it’ll turn out to be pretty cool.
Short Film #21 (Directed by Csaba Bene Perlenberg)
A bigger film project I’m involved in which will shoot this summer is Csaba Bene Perlenberg’s Short Film #21. I’m working as 1st AD on that which is really cool, not to mention exciting. I worked last year on his Superhero flick as well, but in a smaller role as Scriptor. Being 1st AD (1st Assistant Director) could basically translate to me being a production supervisor. That means pretty much running the set, writing call sheets etc. Also I should be able to get myself a walkie-talkie, which is obviously nice. It’ll be interesting to see how a big short film comes together a bit more from the inside. The film is currently focused on a viral marketing aspect, and we’re having several meetings every week to talk about the next step in the pre-production. The film will most probably and hopefully start shooting in just a few weeks. I’ll be sure to keep you posted! But as we’re trying to raise awareness for the project, check out its fanpage on Facebook, where you can actually chime in on the script (it’s available both in English and Swedish), give feedback and really work along with the entire production. It’s a quite unique idea for a short film, and we’re all happy for the feedback we’ve gotten so far. But we need more people! So again, check out the Facebook page and fan us up! Would be very appreciated
Also I’ve applied to several film schools throughout Sweden so I’ll be heading off on interviews with them in the next couple of weeks. Would be really fun to start studying practical film with loads of filmmakers, so fingers crossed! We’ll see how it turns out, more details when I have them!
Oh, and everyone should see Kick-Ass. At least three or four times in cinemas. At least see it once? Deal.
Take care everyone, speak to you more soon!

Currently sitting on the train which is rapidly moving towards this weekend’s desination: Göteborg, Sweden! Going to stay over here until Sunday and check out Fotomässan 2009 (a really large photography convention) along with crew member Johannes Renfors and possibly buy some new gear. Also, will check out Kick-Ass in cinemas tomorrow evening, which I’m really looking forward to! Might try to post some pictures and video from the weekend tour as it happens, and also, let me know if you’re in the area or are attending Fotomässan!
Fun to head back to Göteborg, it’s been a bit over a year since I’ve been here, but it’s a fun city!
More info soon, but until then as always, take care!
In my last post, I told you I’d have something concerning SpexArn for you in the upcoming days, and lo and behold, the teaser trailer for my last film project SpexArn: Back in the Holy Land, has just been released! While the film originally premiered in December 2009, it is soon being released on DVD and also on the internet with subtitles and an improved edit and effects. While the DVD version is still going under its original Swedish name SpexArn: Tillbaka i det Heliga Landet, the international version bears the English title when it’s released later this spring with an improved edit and effects.

It’s been quite some time since I uploaded a trailer for my films, but I thought it’d be a fun experiment! Let me know what you think. The trailer is also available on other websites as you can see on the links above (links will be updated once the trailer hits more websites). If you have the bandwidth, make sure you download the 1080p version from the download links – it’s a pretty hefty file but the quality is pretty amazing if I may say so myself! Make sure you grab it early as it’s only available for a short period. Enjoy, more news soon!
Also note that while the above film is still to be released on the internet, work on Exposed moves on right on schedule!
Take care!
Currently on the countryside enjoying the easter break from school – been spending the last couple of days working on different applications for film schools both throughout Sweden and the rest of Europe – loads of stuff to write, currently focusing on finishing my application for Kulturama in Stockholm. Other than that, I’ve been watching quite a big bunch of films, among these Død Snø, a norweigan nazi-zombie flick – was really the best in its genre.
Decided to start watching the original, Japanese versions of The Grudge, titled Ju-On – quite scary actually, even if it mostly relies on shock scares. Got me inspired to make some sort of short horror film for halloween this summer (along with Exposed, obviously).
Been playing a lot of Heavy Rain for PS3 – such a great game, and the DLC titled “The Taxidermist” I just downloaded is really quite awesome while being very terrifying, and improves on the game in a lot of areas.
Dragging myself back to Malmö tomorrow for some production meetings – more details soon! Hope you all have a great easter!
Take care!
