So after a fun but quite long week shooting my latest comedy, which is named SpexArn, production finally wrapped yesterday evening after shooting a scene using a limousine! It’s been a great shoot so far, and the film rapidly moves into post-production to be ready for its premiere on December 10th!

And with that, I’m back to editing on what I think is my best film yet. I shouldn’t hype, I know, but it’s really quite good and I got some great shots during the shoot even without grading added.

Just thought I’d let you know that I added the page for my upcoming directing, editing and co-written project which is Spex ‘09 (final title TBA) - the film I will shoot with the spex institute at my former high school during the upcoming week. Can’t wait to go into production on what will be my next real film project following Campsite. Feels great to get behind the camera so soon, and this time using proper audio equipment too. Stay tuned for more details, tomorrow features another meeting with the spex comittee as well as all of the people involved.

Also trying to find some way to link Facebook albums with my website so I can show some pics I took during the weekend’s production of Lydia Antivalidis’ film “Du”.

Hey everyone! As some of you know, I’m currently studying film theory at university, which is really a lot of fun. Watching at least two films a week - none of which I’ve seen before so far. Really great, and I’ve been learning a lot But besides uni, I’ve been busy with a lot of film-related work as well as the pre-production of two upcoming film projects!

Super Hjälten
First of all, I spent a week in July (and will spend the upcoming Sunday for pick-up shots) working on a short film called Super Hjälten (”Super Hero”), directed by Csaba Bene Perlenberg alongside a fantastic crew. Shot it on RED, which was really cool - worked as script supervisor/continuity supervisor which basically meant I had to keep track of a whole lot of stuff. The film had a pretty large budget, and was really fun to be involved in. But as I mentioned earlier, it’s far from over, as we’re heading back to shoot some pick-up shots this upcoming Sunday.

Music Videos
Been working on a few music videos too, mostly featuring artists from Afghanistan. Actually I’ve been working on these films for quite a while now, but it’s just recently that I’ve seen some of the videos edited together - worked as DOP on set which was quite fun. Shot a new music video September 23rd too using the Redrock M2 system I’ve been shooting tests on and posting videos of - might put up some more footage tomorrow once I get back home in Malmö if I can find the time to edit it. Check back later tomorrow and I might have thrown a short film up - currently beta testing the new Vimeo desktop uploader based on Adobe AIR which is awesome! Planning to meet either this Saturday or Monday with my co-producer Farid to discuss more music video shoots.

Robbing Peter
Been working on the new film by director and close friend Ashley Wing doing some visual effects/titles work about two weeks - seen a rough cut of the finished film, and it looks really great, also shot using a 35mm adapter - they are getting quite common aren’t they? Another filmmaking friend of mine, Marco Von Moos, recently purchased a Letus Extreme which seems to work really good - still saving up to get my own Redrock M2 Encore (the new version) later this year though - possibly with a follow focus system? Possibly…probably

“Du”
An upcoming short film produced with help from Film i Skåne and hopefully also shot on RED, which I will be working on the next weekend as a Production Assistant - featuring some pretty hefty work hours. Also planning to attend a film-based dress-up party at Vendela’s next weekend, so my schedule is pretty damn packed.

Spex 2009 (Title to be announced)
That’s right, I will be shooting and directing the new spex film (similar to how Spex and the City was shot last year) for S:t Petri high school in Malmö in about 3 weeks - been discussing the plot with the spex comittee a couple of times and I think we have a pretty fun script. Will be in production of that for about a week - will then be spending about 5 or 6 weeks in post on that to get it ready for it’s premiere during early December this year.

But wait, there’s more!
Apart from all this work I’ve been working on the script for my new film - since the spex film will take up most of my time up until early January with the DVD creation as well as multi-cam editing of the live show, it will probably not go into production before that. It shouldn’t be as long as Campsite or as post-production intensive as that film was though so it shouldn’t take too long to make. And I’ve started to just conceptualize working on a bigger-scale film next summer. But enough on that, should focus on the work ahead of me I guess! Oh, as well as university
