New images from Campsite + more info!

Nils Croné | 29 July, 2009 | 8:12 pm

With just under two days left before Campsite has it’s world premiere here on the website (Friday the 31st, 18:00 GMT) I thought I’d share some pretty cool facts concerning the film and it’s release.

First off, I’ll be offering the film as a download right here, in 5 different quality versions - all ranging from the Low Quality version weighing in at around 45 MB to the really quite awesome 720p HD version at 1,45 GB! I’ve also arranged for the website so it probably won’t go down if there is a big increase in web traffic.

Everything is rendered and in some cases uploaded, which means I’m ready for the premiere of my new film - can’t wait to see what you guys and girls think of it! I just uploaded 9 new pictures from the film to the its page, where you will also find (along on the to-be-unveiled specially-created splash page) the download links in less than 47 hours!

Speak to you soon, take care! =)

Campsite goes “gold”, awaiting release…

Nils Croné | 25 July, 2009 | 8:32 pm

Just finished the last couple of VFX shots on Campsite, which makes it now completed. Finished. Finito. Can’t believe it’s been almost 14 months since I started working on the script for it. It’s been a long time coming, and hopefully it’ll be worth the wait! Currently rendering the master 1080p file, after which encoding for internet, DVDs and Blu-Rays (you heard right!) will commence.

The final length of the film, including all credits, is:

33 Minutes, 18 Seconds - which makes it the longest film by Redhawk Productions to date!

More info and some new pictures in the upcoming days leading up to it’s worldwide release, which is in case you missed, Friday 31st July, at 18:00 GMT! (That’s 19:00 for all my Swedish friends) ;)

“The Dude abides.” - The Dude

Nils Croné | 2 July, 2009 | 1:44 am

While I’m sitting here on the countryside, having just finished another bunch of work on Campsite (more info concerning when it’s finally going to be released is arriving quite soon in fact) I’m thinking about loads of things, many film-related and some others not so much.

I am beginning to coming with terms of the fact that I won’t go back to S:t Petri, my high school, ever again. The last couple of weeks it’s been a mixture of both sad and confused feelings around what I really think about it. But having had loads of time to think, it sort of feels good, I guess. To leave that chapter behind me and move on, to finally be able to study film full-time at university. Most of all though, it feels good to soon be finished with Campsite - it’s been taking up over a year of my free time now, and I can’t wait to have it done and move on to one of the multiple other film ideas which have been stacking up during the year. So while I can’t and actually won’t give you an exact release date of the film right now, I’m planning to have it finished and uploaded some time in July! (of this year obviously ;) )

After Campsite is finished, I’ll probably be going back to my normal posting habits here, with reviews and such being featured again. Also, it feels as if I’ve sort of left FXhome for a year - my posting hasn’t been very frequent, something I firstly blame school and all the things it brought with it and secondly also Campsite for.

Oh, and had my 19th birthday just a couple of days ago - while that age doesn’t bring with it anything extraordinarily exciting here in Sweden, it was nevertheless a great day spent with both family and a bunch of friends! Also, thanks everyone for the happy birthday wishes, means a lot! :D Would be awesome to be back in Norwich and work on the FXhome film, which I did last summer - was really an experience I won’t forget anytime soon or come to think of it, in the distant future.

I also watched The Big Lebowski on my birthday, probably for the gazillionth time. Still an incredibly awesome movie.

Talk to you more soon, take care!
