Hey everyone, back from my almost one-month hiatus from writing here – been quite busy, loads of school work, as well as some nice stuff made on Campsite. More on that and more below!

Two and a half weeks ago I handed in my school project, also known as Campsite, to my teacher. That doesn’t mean at all that the film is done, but it’s not a long way to go. About a week ago I sent out a version including all the visual effects, grading and the locked edit (also along with some SFX and music) to a couple of filmmaking friends to get some feedback – and so far it’s really helped as I’ve made some small adjustments to the film which is getting ready for it’s release – which is hopefully some time in late May or early June this year! I should get some new pictures from the film up soon here so you can have a few more looks on the film. I’ve been contemplating if I should create a trailer for the film, and I’m a bit torn between what I should do. I think it’d be cool to post a small trailer for it, but then again, I’m currently more focused on finishing the film and showing it to all of you guys instead of creating too much hype and marketing stuff. When the small pause between the film’s completion and the internet release approaches, I might try to hype it up a bit though with some posters etc. Oh, and make sure to add yourself as a fan to the newly created Campsite Facebook Page!

I saw Slumdog Millionaire last Monday with a friend and I found it utterly brilliant, and a worthy winner of the academy award. Danny Boyle surely is a great director and also a very good at adapting to very different scripts, having made both Sunshine and 28 Days Later before, both vastly different films. Can’t wait to see it on Blu-Ray again as soon as possible. I’m also planning to go see Defiance, the Daniel Craig World War-II drama, pretty soon. I was planning on seeing it today actually, but unfortunately I didn’t get around to it.

Also studying hard for my upcoming test in physics class at school – it’s not exactly my favorite subject in school to put it mildly – and it’s hard to find the motivation to study at home when there are so many other cool things I could do with my spare time; for example taking a walk in the really awesome weather which has hit Malmö in the last couple of days.

Speaking of which, I’m going out to enjoy the first days of summer here in Sweden – but I’ll talk to you more very soon! Take care!

Came back from the UK about a week ago, so I thought it’d be a good time to post about what I’ve been doing the last week!

Been working on Campsite, as always. Just finished the final visual effects shot of the film – it’s also graded and cropped into a beautiful 2.35:1 aspect ratio, which also means all the eye candy and visual stuff is finished for the film. Moving onto sound and music tomorrow – it really feels good to see it all coming together, as I will have to hand in a semi-finished copy as my school project in the next two weeks (along with a pretty lengthy essay, which I’m yet to start writing)…

Finally I have a week off due to the upcoming Easter holidays – will have time to catch up with my friends, get some more work done (as mentioned) and also hopefully get a few days of what I think is well-needed relaxation from school. And out of nowhere, the weather is amazing here in Malmö, best this year by far. Might go out and snap some photos tomorrow actually – but I should really get some work on that essay done.

But enough talk about work – I’m off to watch Taken (starring Liam Neeson) on Blu-Ray and celebrate the week off from school! Until next time, take care everyone!
