Heh, I just noticed this topic on FXhome.com. This member sings a whole song about me and my preset submissions (like effects anyone that ownes the programs can use). Well anyway, enough talk, here it is! Just so you don’t get confused, “Redhawksrymmer” is the name I use on FXhome.

Showdown v22

Posted In Blog

Hey everyone! I’m currently in the process of doing something quite important and awesome. I’m actually re-writing most of “Showdown”. But why, you may ask? Well, I have talked for quite some time now with Nils B (known as Nils A before, but his name has changed) about the movie. Since we really think that Mr. Fluff isn’t all that funny anymore and all that comedy nonsense is just there we decided to throw it in the wastebin. That’s right, all previous characters such as Mr. Fluff and Officer McJohnson will not be a part of the movie. We’re still going to try and focus the movie on some cool action sequences with a meaning and purpose, but also some “real” acting too. Maybe some more drama with a little more at stake than just saving the world (even if that’s pretty a big deal, it’s not really anything the viewers can connect to or understand if you don’t have a £3M budget). Also, there will probably be none of that old humour that we have used for such a long time now. It just kinda feels glued on to the movie and isn’t really neccesary. These decisions will probably make it a lot easier to film the movie, since we won’t have to play our old parts any longer. Maybe me and Nils B won’t have such large roles in our upcoming films as before. As said earlier, I really prefer to be behind the camera as much as possible. Since the movie will be a lot more serious, it’s much easier to shoot. Well, I guess everything I can tell you for now, I hope to put up the original script here someday. Also, the name “Showdown” might not be final, but we’re still working under that name. I’ll get back to all of you with more info on this subject when I have it, such as character’s names, location, story and more…

So, what have I been up to this week? Well, basically it’s been one massive overkill of schoolwork. Most of it is pretty much done now, just got to read some weird English book until Monday (really easy) and that’s pretty much it. Oh, and I had this kind of science assignment which got finished today, which is really cool, a great weight off my shoulders. I’m day for day counting down the days until I go to New York so I can shoot my video diary. I’m not really sure if I’ll bring my HDV camcorder, since I’m a bit scared of getting it stolen, or just not bothering filming since it’s a bit bulky to drag around with. Perhaps I’ll go back to my small Sony Handycam and film with that? That would “only” be 4:3 SD though, instead of 16:9 1080i HD. I guess I’ll just have to see what I’ll do.

Another thing, have anyone tried the video game called “Dead Rising”. It’s about this journalist called Frank which gets himself locked into a zombie infested mall, and he has to resque various people and soling puzzles, while trying to figure out why the zombies are there. It’s for the Xbox 360, I bought it last monday, and I must say I really enjoy it a lot. I think it’s really innovative and cool. A whole (very big) american shopping mall is in the game, completely packed with zombies and “realistic” weapons with everything from the old classic lawnmower to bowling balls. I really recommend it to anyone getting or having a Xbox 360.

I’ve tried out a very nice gallery system for the website which just needs some design tweaks and it should all be ready to go. Images from me, Nils B and Johannes are currently in the upcoming archive, and I must say they all look really cool.

I guess I’ve talked enough now, so I’ll round up this post. Expect more info on the “new Showdown” soon (but not too soon, maybe in a couple of weeks). Of course I’ll also alert you when the new gallery system goes up. I’ll write more than just that, in fact you might say you could expect an increase in posts now that the more time-consuming school work is done. Until next time, cheerio!

Due to the school overkill I’m currently experiencing, it’s a bit hard for me to upload movies and stuff like that at the moment. Obviously there will be movies as well, but I thought “Why not create something fast that I have time to do on my free time?”. So I decided to create the “Images” section, which contains various stylized and computer edited photos I’ve worked on. All images are hosted on DeviantART at the moment, but I will probably find some way to host them here on this site (although my webspace is pretty much full).

Anyway, check out the new section! :)

UPDATE! Hey again, I’m currently looking into a Flickr solution for my gallery. I’ve tried some plug-ins for wordpress, and they all look quite cool. Also, I talked to Nils A earlier today. He has taken some great photos, so they will be on the website as well, when the final image gallery is “launched”.

Hey, here are some images from what I shot this weekend. Well, the first 4 are from the “intro” which probably won’t be in the movie, since I never finished it… (see post below for more details). The last one is going to be in the movie and is shot perhaps for the “real” intro.

Well, I actually filmed some stuff for the upcoming thriller/horror movie “Chains” (working title) yesterday…didn’t finish the shoot though. I was “acting” in front of the camera, and my dad was filming. It really didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to…will post some pictures from the shoot as soon as I get home. I must say I enjoy filming and directing much more then I enjoy acting in movies. I feel it’s like having no control over the things you shoot, and it makes me think everything I shoot could have looked a whole lot better, if I were filming it. Anyway, I’ll try to get some people to be in my movie next weekend, when I’m going to try and film a scene again (will probably have to shorten and edit the script a bit due to the fact that there’s not much time left on the competition’s deadline).

Still, the movie will be made. :)
